Oisin Gallagher has joined National League North side Peterborough Sports on loan until early January.

The Republic of Ireland U19 international came through City’s Academy and has made five first-team appearances for the Imps, three of which came this season – including his first start in the EFL Trophy fixture at Derby County.

Jez George on the loan move: “Oisin is an outstanding young player, who has made real progress in the past six months, and now needs a spell of playing regularly for the next stage of his development.

“This is a club we know well, with joint managers that we trust, and we have already seen how well Hayden Cann has performed and progressed. We look forward to Oisin doing the same and then re-assessing his plan for the rest of the season in January.”

A few views from the forum following the Wolves U21s match:

hulloutpost: “Very short cameo from Gallagher but he looks so comfortable in possession, can handle the ball and seems to have time, which are positive signs of a decent playmaker in waiting.”

Chimpimp: “Really liked Gallagher, he is now quite a good size too and did some good things.”

sedgleyimp: “Like the look of him. Calm and reads the game well as shown by him dropping into the back 3 on occasions.”

robbochops: “Composure beyond his years. Good prospect.”
