Allows a bit of fluidity to the formation and if we can get the service in to Taylor with Hamilton and/or Sorensen bombing through to support we can get some goals with this. Plus the bench looks shockingly strong if we need to chase the game.

Gaz_Imp: “I’d really like us to go 4231. Moylan, Draper and Taylor does not mean we all of a sudden have a lot of stickers and need to play them all, it means we now have three fit strikers! I want to see us build on the two Ethans, they can be the best two-man pivot in the league. With them two the defence has enough protection that we do not need to play three centre back, we need more bodies further up the pitch.

Probably the way I’d go at the minute based on who is fit. But not 100% sure on Hackett left side, perhaps Duffy there and then Sorenson misses out, or Sorenson could be look at for right back but probably too attacking for a back 4. Mandriou could compete with Bishop, Draper with Taylor and Moylan with both! Good options we can bring on from the bench.
But as much as I’d like to see this based on two Ethans, given no wingers in yet or even linked as we’d have little cover here I think a front two with one behind is more likely. I just hope we set up in a way that gets bodies forward and gives them chances, can’t just expect front three to do it all themselves. The way we’ve been playing Haaland would struggle to score, getting shape and attacking play right now as important as signings we’ve made.”
