How Long Have You Supported Tranmere Rovers?

Since March 1990. 26 Years last week in fact!

Last Season’s League Finish?

Rock Bottom of League Two unfortunately – hence our presence in this League today!

What Do You Think Of Your Manager?

We’ve been a bit streaky this season but the ship from two successive relegation’s has been steadied and he’s handled most things just fine!

Hopes/Expectations This Season?

As mentioned above, two and half seasons of total collapse in the past three years and coupled with ten years or more of chronic lack of investment meant I’d have personally settled for finding a sound footing again and performing well on a much more regular basis.

We’ve pretty much done that I’d say despite leaving ourselves a lot to do in terms of promotion now!

One(s) To Watch?

James Norwood is the man scoring the goals but Steve McNulty whom we picked up from Luton earlier in the season is a man-mountain at the back and teams playing more directly find him difficult to get the better of.

You signed Gary Taylor-Fletcher just before our first meeting of the season. How has he performed? Ben Tomlinson’s spell did last too long…

Apart from a spell out injured and his slightly weighty appearance, he has been decent for us. Scoring three minutes into his debut away at Forest Green and providing the most classy of assists against the same team at home last Saturday.

Tomlinson wasn’t a goalscorer for us but he did play OK even though some of our fans didn’t seem to agree. I’ve since noticed he’s been scoring for Barrow so it’s obviously in him!

What’s the general view amongst your supporters with regards to a potential Play-Off place? From the outside, it seems that you’ll miss out and slip once people have caught up on games played.

I think a lot of our fans seem to think the same but some including myself still believe we can sneak in there – although fourth place at best or more likely fifth seem the only possible outcomes if we do make it now.

Gary Brabin seemed to be struggling at one point, but as the season has progressed, did he finally find what was generally a winning formula and just settled on it?

Since the turn of the year our form has been great but the damage was done in late October and early November.

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where our form turned but our captain Steve Jennings seemed to pick up his own performances after Christmas and our form since then is perhaps no coincidence.

Thoughts on Lincoln City?

Just the two visits this season have been friendly enough and have friends in Lincoln so always been keen to see a game there.

Score Prediction?

We need to win and we’re due one both at home and against the Imps so I’ll say 2-1 Rovers!

Random Fact About Your Club?

I’ll use the one everybody uses – we are the only side to have a 100% record at Arsenal’s old ground Highbury (a 1-0 win in the Cup back in 1973)!!
