One(s) To Watch?

Sean Tuton – rumoured to currently being tracked by Cardiff City and Birmingham City.

You have had 3 ex-Imps play for you this season – Burrow, Bencherif and Brown. How are/did they fair?

Burrow – started on fire, being near the top of the goal scoring charts despite us being towards the bottom. Still heavily involved in the goals.

Bencherif & Brown – both had a poor start and were half of what was an abysmal defence. Since Harvey took over they seemed to have got fitter and have played a key part in the last 2 clean sheets.

Do you think a season like this has been coming for the last couple of years i.e. losing quite a few key players and not being able to replace them adequately?

Especially in the summer yes. We lost 3 key players to higher clubs and let many others go. There has been a complete rebuild, most players coming from below. There were too many ‘potential’ players in one team and that’s why we struggled.

You have the worst defence in the National League, but you seem to have stemmed the flow since your latest sacking with 5 conceded and 2 clean sheets in your last 6. Is that quite simply down to some decent organisation or have their been formation/personnel changes by the new manager?

The players didn’t seem to want to play under Kelly. Harvey has changed to a system to suit our players, rather then enforcing how he wants to see them play. We are now playing with more confidence and we don’t look like conceding every time the other team attacks!
