Vital Man Keltie MOM

Many supporters thought Clark Keltie was the Man of the Match at Crewe on Saturday as he returned to the side after 5 months struggling to get over a thigh injury.

Playing just in front of the back four Steve Tilson opted for a 4-3-3 formation which certainly ensured that the defence were more protected.

With Crewe having put 8 goals past Cheltenham at Gresty Road a fortnight ago the tactical switch was a masterstroke which nearly paid off.

Keltie broke up play and allowed the two more creative midfielders in Ali Fuseini and Tom Kilbey to get forward and pressure the Crewe midfield.

With Joe Anderson and Julian Kelly also getting forward from their full back positions things were looking a lot brighter for the Imps and they duly took the lead through a Paul Green goal on 47 minutes.

Considering the time Keltie has been out of first team football he took his chance well and will probably one of the first names on the team sheet for the trip to Bury this Friday.
