Another new signing has arrived through the revolving door at Sincil Bank today, this time it is 21 year old utility player Tom Miller, released from the Imps next opponents Newport County a few months ago. Miller is able to play in either defence or midfield and has also played professional football in three different countries.

He came through the youth ranks at Norwich City, and even gained a young player of the year award in 2008, despite winning this award he was released by the club and as a result signed for Scottish giant Rangers. Despite spending nearly two years in Glasgow he failed to make any first team appearances for the Gers. He left Rangers in Feburary 2010 and signed for Dundalk in the league of Ireland, where he finally made his first team début. In his year in the league of Ireland he played 32 times and also scored one goal.

He left Dundalk for Newport County in last seasons January transfer window, he spent a year with Newport ammasing 37 first team appearances before being released by Newport early this year. He joins another released Newport player in Paul Robson at the Imps. whilst we do need a an extra defender I can’t help but think that we were hoping for someone with a bit more experience and proven quality but it is what it is and good look to him in his few games for the Imps. No doubt Holdsworth is already plotting his next move in the transfer market.
