Steve Tilson continues to attempt to put together a bunch of players to keep the Imps out of the Conference and Millwall’s Ashley Grimes is hopefully going to be putting pen to paper today.
The deal will see the popular 24 year old striker sign for the Imps in a deal which will see him stay at Sincil Bank until the end of the season at least.
It’s always possible a deal could be struck with Millwall for a more permanent move freeing up a loan slot but as he is a free agent in the summer the Imps could be patient and offer the player a deal direct later in the season.
Having scored 4 goals in 6 games Grimes has already become a Stacey West favourite and has certainly made the statistics for goals scored a little more respectable. A welcome signing for Tilly.
