“Thought we were great in the middle of the park.”

Views from tell_it_like_it_is following yesterday’s 3-0 win away at Crawley Town in Sky Bet League Two: “Thought we were great in the middle of the park today.

O’Hara has made such a difference with the way he plays. It’s similar to how Frecklington used to be before the injuries caught up with him. Of all the loan players he is the one I would most like to keep. It looks to be him plus another now. I am usually disappointed when O’Connor doesn’t start as he would be vying for my player of the season but Pett was outstanding today and may complement O’Hara the best.

Interesting as to what we do with McCartan & Rowe at the end of the season. I would have bet my last dollar that Rowe would be above McCartan in the pecking order but Rowe had a stinker today and Shay showed real quality.

I just wonder if we actually move on from both of them. With the way we play that is the position where we can use a real difference maker and if the funds allow maybe we can find someone even better. I have a feeling one of the wingers may swell the coffers a fair bit at the end of the season.”

More views from the Match Thread:

PerthImp: “I said a couple of weeks ago that if we could get anything out of the two games against Mansfield & Crawley we would put ourselves in a very strong position to win the Championship. We’ve picked up four points and, together with other results, I reckon the momentum is firmly with us now – ours to lose. Come on you Imps.”

JT_LCFC: “Excellent again today and what is even more pleasing is keeping 3 clean sheets out of the last 4 in a crucial period.

Magical times.”

impsimps: “Well that was good, great support and well deserved three points. We started well, they came into a bit with a couple of speculative shots and Palmer looked interested. Got the goal and that was it from them apart from lumping it down the field, made to look a poor side, Palmer looked disinterested second half and came off to the usual jibes! We took control then and never allowed the other lot into it, one hoof off the line at the end but they never looked liked scoring. Akinde was my Man of The Match. He worked very hard, their defence was run ragged by him, all played their part, Pett and Harry did very well, and McCartan ran at a tired defence to great effect. Our defence as a unit was solid.

Thought this would be a dodgy game, need not have worried!
