Ahead of tomorrow’s match at home against Shrewsbury Town in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members what three things they think The Imps need to do to pick up all three points.

Here’s what Chimpimp said:

1. Hands up, who expected Lincoln to beat Wigan? Probably not the Wigan players, perhaps not even all the Lincoln players, never mind the supporters. As it turned out we played as well as we have this season. We raised our game and it showed. Probably the only thing harder will be beating Shrewsbury. They won’t roll up expecting an easy game and we will need to produce another similar level performance, which won’t be easy. Attitude is key, it needs to be as good as Tuesday night. There’s no point beating Wigan, and taking a point at Hillsborough, if you sandwich it between home defeats.

2. After your best performance of the season, it’s not always necessary to do too much different… but replicating a top performance is even more difficult, than producing that performance in the first place.

The type of game will be more in the Wimbledon than Wigan vein with the visitors more cautious and compact, with plans to stop us playing.

So expect it to be different but equally difficult. It is all about attitude.

3. Remember it won’t be easy. Attitude, Attitude, Attitude.
