Match Thread: Lincoln City v Oxford United

Starting XI Discussion:

mikeosullivan: “I am pretty sure MK said Jackson, TJ, and Virtue were all at least a week away, so I would guess:-

Rushworth
Montsma O’Connor Roughan
Poole Erhahon Bishop Boyes
Mandroiu House Shodipu or Diamond

although I wouldn’t mind Sorensen being give a go at RWB:-

Montsma O’Connor Poole
Sorensen Erhahon Bishop Roughan

Don’t think it will happen though.”

Scotimp: “This (above). Moves Poole back to his best position in central defence and removes Boyes, whom I think is not League One standard. Montsma is behind Sorensen if he needs to be covered. Worth a try, we can always change it from the bench if it isn’t working.

Oxford fans think they are weak in midfield, so this may also be a good line-up to take advantage of that.”

Match Thread Views:

Scotimp: “Oxford fans are supremely confident of an away win, apparently predicated on the sacking of Whingeing Karl Robinson. I wonder how MK approaches this game?”

PortMacImp: “A different approach is needed and we should play the full game without ever giving Oxford a moment to take a breather. It is time to play with a “Go for It” attitude and give the home fans something to cheer about.”

plumbob: “Please, if we get our noses in front, can we show some real determination to ram home the advantage!

Football is full of cliches, but the 2-0 being a dangerous score is utter b****cks. It sure as hell is safer than 1-0, as we are proving time and again. Let’s just try to give someone a hiding FFS!”
