The midfielder is a familiar face to Imps fans having made 91 competitive appearances over a two-year period after signing on a permanent deal in the summer of 2020.
He was a key part of the squad which reached the 2021 League One play-off final, and regularly took the captain’s armband in his second campaign with the club.
Conor said: “I’m really glad to be back, I loved my time here last time and am looking forward to making a contribution over the rest of the season.
“I’ve spoken to some of the boys I was here with before and they’ve spoken really positively about Michael Skubala as head coach and I can’t wait to working with him and the team.”
Head coach Michael Skubala was pleased to see the club’s top target for that position put pen to paper on a return to the LNER Stadium.
He said: “Conor gives us what we wanted – an experienced player to add to the team, and someone who can get up to speed quickly as he’s already familiar with the surroundings and league.
“He has the attributes we want to add to the squad and has the flexibility to play in numerous roles across midfield”
Jez George added: “Conor has been our No.1 target all transfer window and the fact that we waited until deadline day to secure this loan show what we think of Conor.
“His desire to come to Lincoln City was crucial in making it happen, so I am sure that our supporters will give Conor a proper welcome back.”

Reaction from the forum:

sedgleyimp: “Yes I’m happy as well. Players need time to settle in a side and we know what he can bring rather than an unknown which may or may not work.”

imps_joe: “It’s an ok signing. Not quite living up to the excitement of a late transfer window signing you hope for. We know he’s a steady player. I don’t personally think he’s better than we’ve already got and I was hoping for a more creative player if I’m being honest (it’s area we are lacking in my opinion). That said he’s a decent back up to what we’ve got and strengthens the squad.

It’ll definitely divide people (mainly because of how he left). He’ll have a point to prove.”

Luke Imp: “Pretty much a perfect signing given the circumstances.

He knows the Club (albeit different players and managers but players need to adapt to new surroundings as well normally), he know L1, ready to play, was excellent in a competent midfield in his first season here and I don’t think anyone can argue that we don’t have that this season with Erhahon and Hamilton, can get around the pitch well, works hard and gets stuck in.”
