It was a short recap on Gillingham and look ahead to the Hull City rematch on Tuesday, with Michael Appleton today.

You can discuss what Michael Appleton said earlier today HERE, as well as many other topics on our 100% Imps forum! We have also published a Lincoln City v Hull City Quiz, which can be found just below the summary. Every page view helps raise money for Lincoln City Football Club!

Gillingham: It was a very physical game which the players handled really well and it appears they have come through the game without any new injury issues.

Hull City: MA doesn’t really expect any great change in style of play from The Tigers. He was surprised that they lost at Burton but recognises there will be a lot of nip and tuck in games where teams are going for promotion. “One thing’s for sure, obviously there’ll be a disappointment regarding their result at the weekend, against a much to be fair improved Burton side”.

MA has taken due recognisance that pitch and weather conditions could be a factor during the game. “The pitch and weather conditions may be a factor; let’s see”.

He is open-minded about any benefit to be gained from the extra day rest. Whilst it could have been difficult to play Gillingham off a day less preparation he does hope that if The Imps are in the game at Hull with 20/25 minutes to go, then it may be a positive. “The added bonus was we knew we’d get a little bit extra before we played them this week”.

Preparation: The weather has affected the training schedule but it’s not the first time nor will it be the last. Imps will adapt, the aim being to be able to at least clear a small part of grass to enable some training. That would be a bonus.
