Despite only recently admitting his desire to stay with the club and fight for his place, Lincoln City striker Francis Green has performed a u-turn and joined county rivals Boston United on a six-week long loan.

The former Peterborough United frontman, signed by the Imps just over two years ago for £75,000, has struggled to cement a place in Keith Alexander’s side this term, starting just four League games this season.

And Alexander, who is desperate to raise some funds for a spending spree in the January transfer window, has decided to allow the 25-year-old to gain some valuable first-team experience at York Street, with a view to a possible permanent deal should he impress Pilgrims boss Steve Evans.
