Ahead of Tuesday’s match at Sincil Bank versus Bolton Wanderers in League One, which will be refereed by Neil Hair, we take a look at some of the pre-match discussion on the forum as well as share our quiz about last season’s match between The Imps and Bolton at Sincil Bank. Just how much can you remember about it? Can you get 10 out of 10? If you’re on X (Twitter), remember to share your score using the button on the results page! The quiz can be found HERE (opens in a new tab) or below the pre-match discussion!
sedgleyimp: “Let’s try something a bit radical as Bolton’s defenders will easily deal with the attacking options we currently have. This might not look very enticing on paper, but just might give a bit of fluidity to players coming through from the middle
Jensen
Sorensen – O’Connor – Jackson – Eyoma – Burroughs (with Lasse and Burroughs playing slightly higher giving us width)
Erhahon (sitting as a pivot in front of the 3)
Bishop – Hamilton – Smith (as a 3 in the middle alternating positions strengthening the middle of the park)
Mandroiu (as a floating striker given a licence to roam up front)
I’m sure that won’t be the selection.
Always positive of a result. Soak up a lot of pressure and hit them on the break for a 1-0 win.”
berksimps: “Really hope he doesn’t play Mitchell, Jackson and O’Connor at the back. They shipped three goals at Derby, are so similar, one paced and it is slow. Personally I would make Jackson captain/organiser. And revert to a successful back three.
Jensen
Sorrensen O’Connor Jackson Eyoma Burroughs
Erhahon
Bishop Hamilton Smith
Mandroiu
O’Connor is more effective on the right side, being completely one-footed, although it is a close call between him and Mitchell.
Better to have Mandroiu twisting and turning in the box and getting a shot away or a pen. Tell Burroughs from the start he is likely to be on for an hour only so he can work his arse off in order to give Duffy 35 minutes to make his mark.
It all comes together, 4-1 City.”
