Following Saturday’s 0-0 draw at home against Sunderland in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members what three things they learned from the match.

Here’s what Chimpimp said:

1. We have a tall agile goalkeeper on our books with excellent distribution skills. Josh Griffiths is however injured. When Jordan Wright entered the fray in the final minutes again Sheffield Wednesday, few knew what to expect from him but while he might not yet looked quite as polished as the England U21 player, Griffiths would have been proud of the point saving stop Wright produced in the dying minutes against Sunderland.

2. We look to be more flexible with our tactics. With a stronger defence following the return Walsh and Jackson, giving the opposition more of the ball by playing longer, is an option. However, Lincoln looked most threatening when they got the ball down and played a bit more football in the final quarter.

3. Morgan Whittaker is a good impact sub who can affect the game. However, looking at the impact he did have, Lincoln need to find a way to make the most of his talents. Perhaps the next three away games with more room and counter-attacking possibilities, will give him that chance.
