TrickyImps!: “I’d be surprised if anyone is shocked.

Even if he isn’t going to Ireland, the time was right to make a change.

I mentioned on the Burton match thread that the Jabara’s have invested a lot in this current squad, and they’d have been asking themselves in recent weeks whether Kennedy is the bloke to maximise their return.

I think we’ve got our answer.”

Rasenimp: “I am a little bit shocked even if I very, very, much had those questions whether he was the right man. Just because he got that long term contract, very not kneejerk hierarchy, thought there might be more patience than I have.

I don’t think we got the man they thought they hired based on progressive football and the ambitions of the club. This was easier to reconcile last season with a positive finish at the end of it in getting 11th. Very hard to reconcile this so far.

Personally think it’s good for the club. I think we were going to get weeks of similar stuff – not breaking down teams – haven’t seen evidence of it in 14 months. Picking up a few good results against teams where we can sit in but not developing anything more interesting going forward despite much better players. Being a bit snippy and starting to dig out players felt weird.

Excited to see what the future brings! Who’s available then?”

clanfordimp: “Not surprised with this at all. He had lost his way and wasn’t going to find a way back anytime soon. We had become stale and boring and he had no idea how to change it. His thinking was too rigid, he needed to change the formation and get more offensive players on the pitch. Some of the things he said after the defeat on Saturday were ridiculous. It was coming and the board have acted because they knew that his way of playing wasn’t going to change and we were only going one way.”

Think the Burton game was the one that broke him.
Leaving potentialy 3 subs on bench too late to influence game who had more ability in final third than some of starting 11 tactics were too cautious against a bang average side.
