“It was the best game I have seen him play in a City shirt.”

The Vital Lincoln City members’ voted for whom they believe was The Imps Man of The Match in their 1-0 win at home against Grimsby Town in Sky Bet League Two.

Views from berksimps: “Brought my mate up from London, a Spurs season ticket holder, he was very impressed with Toffolo and Bostwick. Bostwick was his MOM, he thought his vision and timing were exceptional. He also particularly enjoyed a few moments of class shown by Eardley.

I have gone for Toffolo, probably because Bostwick has been my MOM for the last two games, and it was the best game I have seen him play in a City shirt.”

Here’s how the poll finished:

Smith: 0 votes – 0.0%
O’Connor: 3 votes – 7.3%
Pett: 1 vote: 2.4%
Frecklington: 1 vote: 2.4%
Toffolo: 23 votes – 56.1%
Bostwick: 7 votes – 17.1%
McCartan: 1 vote: 2.4%
Eardley: 2 votes – 4.9%
Bolger: 2 votes – 4.9%
Anderson: 1 vote: 2.4%
Akinde: 0 votes – 0.0%
Rowe: 0 votes – 0.0%

More Comments:

PerthImp: “Toffolo for me – he offers a lot going forward. Yesterday he was involved in more than usual offensively, but still did his defensive stuff. Great goal, energy and enthusiasm, particularly without Bruno.”

NottyImp: “Toffolo for me. But a shout out for Akinde’s defensive work – several key clearances from the box.”

Chesterimp: “Eardley is like Habergham in the National League season, excellence is the norm and only stands out when falling short or doing something even more excellent, free kicks being their common currency.

He wasn’t at his best early part of the season but he is now, and unfortunately, we do take it for granted.

Agreed he was top class yesterday, defence and attack, though free kick after Akinde’s foul could have been better, and he gave Smith one of his scariest moments.”
