How long have you supported Port Vale?
Since 1968.
What are your hopes and expectations for the 2023/24 season?
Mid-table consolidation would represent a good level of progress.
What do you think of your manager?
I like the style of play he is trying to implement, but it will take time to develop. He is new to the job, having only managed on a temporary basis previously and, for that reason, it is difficult to form a considered opinion until he has had more time.
Style of play and tactics – direct/passing/hybrid?
Passing.

Random fact about your Club?
Port Vale are the only football club in Britain not to be named after a place. “In a world full of United’s, City’s and Rovers, there’s only one Port Vale”.
Which were your favourite and least favourite matches involving Port Vale?
Victories over local rivals Stoke City plus various cup upsets. But, if I have to pick one game it would be the play-off win over Bristol Rovers in 1989, putting us into what now is the Championship.
Least favourite, too many disappointments to mention.
Which sides do you think will finish in the top six and which do you think will finish in the bottom four?
I can’t ‘see’ past Pompey, Bolton, Derby etc. being up there but, after that who knows? I don’t care about the bottom as long as we aren’t involved. That ‘said’ I hope Cheltenham pull clear as Darrell Clarke will always have a place in Vale fans’ hearts.
What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?
I’ve not seen them play, so difficult to judge.
What is your prediction for this match?
Difficult game for us, not least because of our mounting injury list. Sincil Bank is always a difficult place to come to. I will be happy with a point, but I’m not too confident.
