Lincoln City striker Freddie Draper scored with his head to level the match away at Salford City in League Two on Saturday afternoon, getting on the end Oisin McEntee’s cross with a powerful header, before playing his part in the winner for the Saddlers.
The on loan striker has made 6 appearances so far for The Saddlers this season, scoring twice and assisting two.
Pre-season, we all looked at DJ to be the main man in the goals for #Saddlers, maybe instead it could be Freddie Draper?
Really positive start to his loan spell from Lincoln City. Ryan Stirk in turn has looked a very positive addition in midfield.

Following the match, here’s some of the views from Walsall forum, Up The Saddlers:
“Draper too was outstanding, his work rate is terrific. He looked absolutely shattered at the end of the game, rightly so as he gives it his all.”
“Freddie Draper – wow!!! Kept going and going and going. Took his header brilliantly and his run for the second superb. And he was loving it at the end.”
And some reaction on X (Twitter):
Really hope they don't decide to recall him
