Club Confirm Investment Offer

Former Associate Director and freelance business consultant Michael Foley made a public offer of investment through this website some days ago.

This offer has now been made through official channels via e-mail and the club through the Vice-chairman, Chris Travers, has now confirmed this.

Speaking to the Lincolnshire Echo he said: ‘I can confirm we have received an offer from Michael, but it is a private and confidential matter between him and the football club.’

With claims now being made by another Vital poster that other investment was stalled by the club or that any involvement with the unsuccessful plc take-over bid was looked on with suspicion supporters will be asking just what hoops do you have to go through to become an investor in Lincoln City FC.

With the deadline for the most recent offer getting closer it will be interesting to see how things develop.

On the Vital Lincoln message board Michael Foley commenting on the issues above had this to say: ‘I rather think this gives the lie to the claim that the Club does not turn away or discourage (the end result is the same) investment except where there are conditions attached that the Club did not agree with. It is interesting what is now being revealed. This is indeed proving to be an eye opener. Still no considered reply to my offer.’
