O’Connor along with Jackson are the strongest, best central defenders we have. Cambridge would be happy for one of them not to be playing, especially if it’s aerial ping pong, like last season.”
Mackers67: “Players coming back have to earn their place. O’Connor is our captain so it’s going to be interesting if he drops one of those currently in. TJ has been good the last few games or else he would have been the obvious one but he has to play on current form. Jackson has been super and has a new set of legs. same with Mitchell, probably the loan player we’ve had for years. So O’Connor for me going to have to wait, but that’s a big one for the gaffer and just can’t see him doing it. Such a Big decision, because if he drops Mitchell and does not play him then he will probably choose to go back at Christmas and that would be a disaster. Drops TJ and that will just be so wrong, so what a dilemma… oh and Roughan, goodness knows where he fits in right now. We have some really top CBs that’s for sure. Gaffer needs to be brave and not pacify for the sake of it.
