Sheffield United joins Leicester in hunt for N`Guessan and Butcher feels the call of home over Rotherham and Shrewsbury.

Dany N`Guessan.

With Leicester pretty much there in the Dany Saga, the Blades failure to win the richest match in footbal will count in the Imps favour. Despite missing out on £60 million and losing the parachute payment this year the Blades are hardly potless. West Ham will be giving them £30 million over two years too. It does however mean their search for a right-sided player will mean shopping at Tesco as opposed to Harrods. A six-figure deal for the Frenchman will ensue as both the Sheffield clubs and Leicester enjoy a three way Dutch auction.

Rickyyyyyyy!

Richard Butcher meanwhile has developed into a saga since his new agent arrived on the scene. A done deal appeared to have changed with the wind as moneybags Rotherham continue the financial juggling, despite still paying off football creditors from previous administrations. Despite the Imps running a novel ‘lets maintain a budget status quo` we will sign the lad some day soon. Peter Jackson does have other options but Butcher wants this to be third time lucky and as we understand it we are looking at a done deal.

Good News & Bad

Two that have got away appear to be Liam Hatch – to another post admin moneybags again, this time Luton for £90,000. Jon Worthington has meanwhile agreed to go to Oldham. We also face some competition for Billy Sharpe, this time from Notts County. Keep the faith though because Jacko does not see both Hatch and Sharpe as our top priorities. Two prolific strikers are in ‘advanced` talks; one has experience whilst the other is a young gun in the making.
