Earlier today it was reported by the Daily Record that former Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday left-back is set to join St. Mirren on loan from The Imps, with his first match coming against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership this weekend, and a few other players, including Ian Povedo from Leeds United and Matty Virtue from Blackpool, have been discussed.

Jaden Brown related post(s):

Imp13: “Brown just hasn’t settled into a squad role here so good for him to get a move.

Not sure if we would be after another full-back with Sorensen right, Roughan left now we play a 4 and Burroughs covering both. We know Ted can competently play on the right too.

Certainly freeing up wages. Doesn’t sound like anything before Posh.”

mikeosullivan: “Impressed with all three loan deals – Haks, Smith and Brown.

None in serious contention for a first-team place and makes room for Skoobs to bring in players to suit both his system and his desire for more experience.

Other than a possible loan for Makama, I can’t see any other departures looming and look forward to 2 or 3 incomings next week.”

Ian Povedo related posts:

sedgleyimp: “Winger plays for Leeds and currently in the Columbian National Team reckoning. 23-year-old whose career has stalled a little bit but certainly might fit in with a Championship winger with a few games under his belt loanee suggestion.”

Rasenimp: “Someone else has said Poveda was at the training ground on Facebook, but not really sure it looks very reliable haha. Even more so now we’re playing with the two central strikers up top.”

Matty Virtue related posts:

Sincilbanks: “Virtue strikes me as the sort of player we might actually buy in January (or we have done in the past). Out of contract in the summer, we are likely to be outbid for his wages come the summer time if he is available on a free. I’m assuming now Blackpool will know if he is going to be offered another contract. He’s proven (at least to me) that he can play League 1 standard and I think he would be an excellent addition to our midfield, certainly an upgrade on Smith and a better option than Lasse in central midfield.”

Chimpimp: “I don’t think Virtue is quite the player we will be looking for…but time will tell.

Reckon it might be someone more like McGrandles…

slightly more technically able…

…with the ability to sustain attacks rather than stop them.”
