A phenomenal find and a fantastic talent Gary looks as if he could go all the way.

A local lad Gary quite literally turned up on the beach, Skeggy Beach to be precise, discovered by one of Tom Spall’s spies.

A composed, skilful player much is expected of the youngster over the next couple of years. Some are even talking of him being our first million pound player.

  • Not sure about the million pound tag, but there is no reason why he cant develop into a real good quality player. Only still 18 so he has still got stuff to learn but the signs so far are very encouraging.

  • Don’t know about a million quid. The pressure to sell on a league 2 club tends to get too much so higher league clubs know they don’t need to offer that much.

  • was frecklington in the team at 18, i could go along with a million because he really has everything, and with a manager like jackson who knows.

  • Frecklington was often on the bench, but from memory not used. The old adage of if you are good enough spring to mind. How old was Rooney when he made his Everton debut, and I am not comparing anyone of our players to Rooney, just saying that you are not to young if you are good enough.
