Here’s what some of our fans said after Saturday’s 2-1 win.

‘Please let Gateshead win Tuesday night and confirm our safety otherwise it is going to be a very nervous day next Saturday mind you with Mansfield losing at Braintree we could do with Kiddy winning at Wrexham tonight as they could still be playing for the Championship next Saturday against Stockport!!’

‘Wow, tired from just watching that!

Jones made a real difference when he came on, the run and setup for Taylor was excellent, beat 3 players, then rather than be greedy had the sense to get his head up and tee up a player in a better position, hope he gets 90 next week to prove he is worth a punt next season. Power was excellent, everywhere. Great to have the Co-op rocking like it was today, could be like that every week if we were at the right end of the table!’

‘Power was majestic today, Oliver’s effort levels were through the roof, and I’ve not seen footwork like Jake Jones’ at Sincil Bank in quite a while. Wonderful win.’

‘Blimey. We were pretty poor, with Brown, Nicolau, Turnbull and Jordan looking nothing like footballers, however, when you’ve got genuinely talented players like Taylor, Power and Jones, and the Herculean efforts of Oliver, you’ve got a chance of scoring goals. Just about there, now, but big changes are required over the summer.’

‘Personally I will be surprised if Taylor is still here next season but if we do stay up there has to be some major changes personnel wise for next season otherwise it will be a repeat of this season!!!’

‘What are our chances of getting Jake Jones on loan for a season next season? If we build a side around an attack of Sheridan, Oliver, Taylor and him, and can keep Power and get the right partner for him (someone who’ll allow him to join attacks) in the centre of midfield, we’ll only be a decent defence and goalkeeper short of a play-off chasing side.’

‘Power in particular and Taylor and Jones when he came on 65 minutes late were superb today. For as soon as I saw the side I couldn’t understand why Jordan and Turnbull were playing instead of Jones and Fofana, thought Turnbull played ok in the end but Jordan was useless. A real captain and leaders performance by Power , Sheridan did well as did Miller. Thought the save off Taylor’s first header was as good as I have seen at Sincil Bank, before he asked the Ref if he could stop the game so he could sit down have a cup of tea and change his boots. Thought the fans were excellent as well they hardly got on the teams back considering how bad we were in the first half, and created a good positive atmosphere when we stepped up the pressure in the second half.’

‘Let’s be clear, Alan Power was absolutely immense today. Possibly the most gutsy, skilled, die-hard performance I’ve seen for many years. He kept us going and provided the engine that led to the win. I salute you, sir!

That is all.’
