Wycombe Wanderers 1-1 Lincoln City: Post-Match Reaction & Stats

The Imps scored late on to secure a point at Adams Park Versus Wycombe Wanderers this afternoon. A well-deserved point, too. A Dale Taylor goal in the 29th minute as a result of some poor defending resulted in the hosts taking the lead, but City made changes in the second half more than deserved the late goal from Ethan Erhahon (90+8′) and City came away with a point.

PerthImp: “YOU BEAUTY – no more than we deserve after the performance from the team, once the substitutions had been made. Reeco and Teddy made such a difference – so much composure and willingness to hold the ball and use it. Great for Ethan Erhahon to get the winner – he thoroughly deserved that. With that performance in the last 25 minutes we can see what the team can do with their good players on the pitch. Luckily we have no midweek games for the next couple of weeks so hopefully the team (with the new coach) can really work with the players. Love to see more bravery and composure on the ball, which we will get the with the likes of Reeco and Teddy. Come on you Imps.”

PortMacImp: “Sometimes you do get what you deserve. The Imps really took the game to Wycombe in that second half. There are promising glimpses of what is to come as Reeco looked class on his welcome return and Taylor and Moylan both looked handy. It was a mystery why the first Imps goal was disallowed but the team responded well and found a way to get back in it. The substitutions were positive from Skubala and the team forced Wycombe to hang on with delaying tactics, that fortunately failed.”
