Thank you to Shrewsbury Town supporter Darren for answering these questions!

How Long Have You Supported Shrewsbury Town?

20 Years.

Last Season’s League Finish?

18th in League One.

What Do You Think Of Your Manager?

Paul Hurst is nothing short of a miracle worker, after just avoiding relegation last season and being tipped to finish second bottom this season he has guided us to potential automatic promotion to the Championship. For a club like Shrewsbury Town, this is a massive achievement and it’s all down to the fantastic work Paul Hurst has done to turn our fortunes around. He’s even had a path near the stadium named after him.

Hopes/Expectations This Season?

If you had asked me this at the beginning of the season I would have said avoid relegation, but now im hoping for automatic promotion and Championship football next season.

One(s) To Watch?

Ones to watch for Salop are our keeper on loan from Manchester United, Dean Henderson and Shaun Whalley. Both players have been fantastic this season and are great examples of what kind of player we want in a blue and amber shirt. Henderson even though being a loan player loves the club and has played out of his skin and Whalley has put away a good amount of goals from midfield and also chipped in with many assists.

Top Six Predictions?

1) Wigan 2) Shrewsbury 3) Blackburn 4) Peterborough 5) Rotherham 6) Portsmouth

Bottom Four Predictions?

21) Walsall 22) MK Dons 23) Northampton 24) Bury

Thoughts on Lincoln City?

Have happy memories of a trip to Lincoln and seeing Andy Cooke score twice. They’ve done well getting back into the football league and glad to see them back where a club like Lincoln belong.

Score Prediction?

2-0 Shrewsbury.

Random Fact About Your Club?

Bobby Charlton made one appearance for Shrewsbury Town against Zambia in 1978.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Shrewsbury Town Supporter?

Proudest moment was getting to see my play at Wembley in 2007 and score the first competitive goal at the new Wembley Stadium as this was the first time since I became a fan that we got to Wembley.

The most embarrassing moment would have to be when we were relegated out of the Football League in 2003, we weren’t a good side and deserved to go down.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

We do have a supporters trust and I know they had a massive part to play in raising the funds for the club to become the first team in the English Football Leagues to have safe standing at their stadium, which hopefully will be in place soon. They also help an exile like myself keep up to date with all going on at Shrewsbury Town.

Which was your favourite match involving Shrewsbury Town?

My favourite match would have to be the second leg of the League 2 play-offs away at MK Dons in 2007, after a draw in the first leg we went away to the hockey stadium and managed to get a w 2-1 win after we made a late surge into the play-off places. 2 great Andy Cooke goals sealed a memorable win for the Town and meant we would go on to Wembley. It was made even more memorable at halftime as they had someone on the pitch singing “Hey Jude” but our fans drowned the singer out with our own rendition.

Which was your least favourite match involving Shrewsbury Town?

Least favourite would be a trip up north in the FA Cup against Blyth Spartans in 2008, I made the trip thinking it would be a dominant win for us but oh how I was wrong. We ended up on the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline and to say it was a hard journey home was an understatement.

If you could build the New Meadow again, what would you change and keep?

Would change the toilet facilities at the stadium, having a toilet seat would be nice. I would keep the ability to be able to put on concerts at the stadium as that generates funds that help us progress as a club and money we would never have at Gay Meadow.

Is the ex-Lincoln player, Jon Nolan worthy of a place in your usual team? What are his main attributes?

He is more than worthy of a place in our team, I would go as far as saying he is one of our best players. I think his main attributes is his work ethic, ability to assist and score goals for the team. He has added what our team has been missing for a few seasons and think he will be a valuable player for us going forward. On his day he has the ability to control and set the tone for the game, a true asset to the Shrewsbury Town side.
