How Long Have You Supported Morecambe?

I have supported The Shrimps for over a decade now!

Last Season’s League Finish?

18th.

What Do You Think Of Your Manager?

He is a legend and always will be!

Hopes/Expectations This Season?

To stay in the Football League.

One(s) To Watch?

Callum Lang and Gregg Wylde.

Top Seven Predictions?

In this order: Luton Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Coventry City, Notts County, Exeter City Lincoln City and Accrington Stanley.

Bottom Two Predictions?

Barnet and Forest Green Rovers.

Thoughts on Lincoln City?

Good club, Sincil Bank has to be one of the loudest grounds I’ve ever been to! Great set of supporters!

Score Prediction?

2-1 to Morecambe.

Random Fact About Your Club?

We have the best pies on the country!

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Morecambe Supporter?

Proudest was when we won at Wembley against Exeter in 2007. I didn’t get to go unfortunately but I had family members who were there! Most embarrassing was when we lost 2-0 to Forest Green this season, was embarrassing to watch.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

Yes we have a Supporters Trust. It’s called the ‘Shrimps Trust’. They are there to try and improve the club.

Which was your favourite match involving Morecambe?

Probably this season when we beat Yeovil 4-3 at home, we came back from 2-0 down to equalise 2-2, then went 3-2 down then won the game 4-3.

Which was your least favourite match involving Morecambe?

Forest Green Rovers 2-0 Morecambe.

You had some sort of dodgy Brazilian(?) owner who disappeared when wages needed to be paid. Is he still involved in the Club?

We don’t think so, no one seen him since he left the country on the 17th November 2016.

Kevin Ellison – 58 years of age but still popping up with crucial goals. How important is he?

He is very important, he is very important, when he’s on fire he can score loads of goals!

You have a relatively new Stadium. What aspects of the Stadium would you change and why?

I would love to get more people through the door and improve the overall atmosphere at the ground because some games it can get very quiet! Since Christie Park (our former ground) the atmosphere has deteriorated rapidly!

Where on earth have all your fans gone? Just 1,056 were against Exeter on Saturday. Does apathy rule in Morecambe?

The reason why our attendances are so low at the moment is that people are going to watch other clubs like Man United, Preston, Bolton etc! One of the highlights of the footballing season for us is Carlisle or Accrington Stanley at home as that usually sees attendances rise to 2000-2500!

How disappointed have you been with Adam Campbell? He looked quite useful at Notts, but it just hasn’t happened for him at Morecambe?

Adam Campbell can be rapid when he wants to be, it would be good to see him score some goals before the season ends in May.

What do fans make of our old friend Vadaine Oliver? Just two goals in his last 23 games suggests he is struggling somewhat?

Oliver started the season good but his form just deteriorated. I remember when he just joined the club me and my mate were looking at videos of some of his goals at his former club (York City), but he just can’t find the back of the net unfortunately.

Kevin Ellison (39), Garry Thompson (37), Barry Roche (35), Michael Rose (35), Steven Old (32), Andy Fleming (30)… is it time for some fresh, younger blood at Morecambe? Or are the experienced ones vital in helping you stay up?

We could do with some young blood in the squad to pick up the moral a bit, we could do with getting rid of Michael Rose as some people say he is ‘useless’.

Eric or Ernie?

Eric all the way.
