The last time The Imps hosted tomorrow night’s opponents Milton Keynes Dons was on Sunday 26th December 2021, in front of a crowd of 8,328, including 333 visiting supporters. The Imps were 2-0 up after 8 minutes, thanks to goals scored by Warren O’Hora (4′ OG) and Chris Maguire (8′ PEN), and City went in at the break ahead. However, two goals for Scott Twine (59′ & 90′) and one from Matt O’Riley (75′) meant the visitors left Sincil Bank with all three points.

First up, the answers provided by John:

How long have you supported Milton Keynes Dons?

Since the move of Wimbledon from South London in 2003/04.

Where did you finish last season?

A very respectable and somewhat frustrating 3rd place just missing out on automatic promotion and losing in the playoffs again.

What do you think of your Manager?

It’s a bit early to say. He’s been here since late January and his main job is to keep us from the drop to League 2, so I’ll reserve judgement for now.

What were and now are your hopes and expectations for the 2022/23 season?

We were never going to repeat the great season of 21/22, especially losing our best players and I predicted a mid-table finish based on the squad we have now.

One(s) to watch?

There are no great ones to watch this season, in fact, it’s difficult to give any of our players a 5 or above, god knows how we’ll choose a POTS this year.

Which teams do you think will finish in the top six in League One?

Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich, Plymouth, Barnsley, Bolton, and Derby.

Which teams do you think will finish in the bottom four in League One?

Forest Green, Burton, Morecambe, and Us.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

They are what they are a well-drilled team hard to beat at home and I think they are a mid-table side and have performed probably to their fans’ expectations this season after losing some key players.

What do you think the score will be?

1-1.

Random fact about your Club?

We had the coolest-ever shirt sponsorship in Marshall Amplification.

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your own team, who would it be and why?

I would steal Regan Poole back for our very shaky defence.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Milton Keynes Dons Supporter?

My proudest moment was going to Wembley and winning JPT in 2008.

Embarrassing is probably this season as I don’t think anyone expected us to be so poor.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Daniel Harvie.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

No, we don’t.

Which was your favourite match involving Milton Keynes Dons?

Has to be the 4-0 Carling Cup win over Man Utd.

Which was your least favourite match involving Milton Keynes Dons?

If memory serves me right it was 5-0 hammering at a cold, wet and windy Hartlepool on 3rd Jan 2005.

Do you have a Former Players Association at Milton Keynes Dons?

No.

What is the best thing about Milton Keynes?

I moved here in 1972 from Scotland and have seen the City grow from strength to strength, we are known as the can-do City Another thing I love is is so easy to get about and hardly ever any traffic queues.

Has last season’s almost promotion contributed to your struggles this season? We had problems replacing key players when it happened to us the season before and there seem to be some parallels with you this season.

Yes exactly this as I eluded to in one of your earlier questions, it was always going to be a massive task to replace quality in the likes of Twine, Darling, Kasumu, Coventry and Parrott.
