Which was your least favourite match involving Exeter City?

Losing 6-1 at home to Chesterfield.

Were you surprised that Ampadu went to Chelsea? Surely his development would have been better served by playing in Exeter’s first team?

Yes and no to Ampadu joining Chelsea. No because we could all see he’s got potential to go all the way in football. Yes because we thought he might have gone to a team who is more likely to give youth a chance.

Were there many calls for Tisdale’s head when Exeter were bottom of the league last November?

Yes there were, myself included. At the same time I’m glad he sorted it out, as I don’t think there’s anyone out there that would have done a better job considering the circumstances.

What changed, to turn the Football League’s bottom side into play-off finalists in the space of a few months?

The return of key players played a major part in the turnaround, as well as the board keeping trust with Tisdale.

How big a loss is Ollie Watkins? Brentford fans are already impressed.

Losing Ollie will be a massive loss, but at the same time, if we can keep all our current major players fit, as well as the youngsters coming through, I think we’ll be fine.

Having got so close to promotion last season, do you think some of the play-off money should be used for the team, rather than for ground improvements?

It’s a toughie, because we all want the best possible team, but at the same time, we know that building the infrastructure for the training ground for example, will eventually lead us to being a Category 2 Academy, therefore getting more money from the FL and FA.

Isn’t there some sort of weird set-up at Exeter where a manager has to be given a certain amount of notice that his contract isn’t going to be renewed (two years or something?)?

I wouldn’t say it’s a weird set up, but more out of courtesy, giving Tisdale time to sort the club out, and giving the club itself the opportunity to give Tisdale a proper contract, where if it was to go wrong, we wouldn’t have to pay a fortune to sack him.
