How Long Have You Supported Everton?

72 years.

Last Season’s League Finish?

Hopes/Expectations This Season?

Finish in the top 8 and win a trophy.

One(s) To Watch?

David Henen.

Top Five Predictions?

Man City, Tottenham, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal.

Bottom Three Predictions?

Crystal Palace, West Ham, Leicester City.

Thoughts on Lincoln City?

Too big for League 2, even though you’ve only just been promoted.

Score Prediction?

2-1 to The Imps.

Random Fact About Your Club?

When we won the title in 1914 World War I broke out, when we won the title in 1939 World War II broke out and when we won the title and the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1985 all English clubs were banned from European competition due to Heysel. We don’t have much luck!

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as an Everton Supporter?

I was most proud of being an Evertonian in the aftermath of Hillsborough due to the way in which we stood shoulder-to-shoulder with our rivals LFC during some of the darkest days in the history of the city of Liverpool.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

I have no idea.

Which was your favourite match involving Everton?

Knocking Bayern Munich out in the semi-finals of the 1985 Uefa European Cup Winners Cup.

Which was your least favourite match involving Everton?

Either the 1985 or the 1986 FA Cup finals, both of which we lost, the first one to an inferior team.

What are your thoughts on this competition and the prospect of B teams/under 21 teams playing in the EFL?

Great experience for our youngsters.

Do you remember a young striker called Gary Powell who joined us on loan way back in 1990?

Some of us had high hopes for him but he failed to shine and he eventually forged a career in the League of Wales. Vaguely. He was very good technically.

Where has it gone wrong this season?

Our failure to replace Romelu Lukaku and Gareth Barry in the summer has cost us dearly. The media embellishing how much we spent on players didn’t help matters as it put pressure on the management. In reality, our net spend was £50million.

Which of your young English talents are you most excited about?

Jordan Pickford, who will surely be England’s number 1 before the decade is out.

What do you make of Ashley Williams’ actions against Lyon?

Ludicrous and indefensible.

What was your primary emotion on the re-signing of Rooney?

Regret. He could have been an Everton legend but he instead gave his best years to a Manchester club. And had he burst onto the scene 15 years prior to when he did he would have stayed. Back then, the idea of leaving Everton for Man Utd would have been risible. We have really gone downhill as a club over the course of the last 25 to 30 years.
