An update on the ‘Where are they now’ section as two of last years squad link up with Blue Square Premier rivals Tamworth. First up is Paul Green.

Paul Green is the latest member of last seasons squad to find a new club, having signed a one year contract with fellow Blue Square Premier team Tamworth.

Fan favourite Green struggled with long-term injuries in the final two years of his contract and only made a handful of appearences towards the back end of last year. In my opinion if Tilson had played Green alot more when he was fit last year, the Imps would have secured the extra 3 points they needed and avoided that sinking feeling of releagtion on thr last day.

Green originally signed for Lincoln back in January 2007 by John Schofield and during his time at the Bank won both the player of the year, player’s player of the year and website player of the year awards. He went on to make 111 appearences, scoring 3 goals for a total of 4 permanent managers during that spell.

After being released as part of a cost cutting exercise last year, Green was the subject of interest from Oxford however the chance to moving closer to home in Birmingham caught the interest of Green and penned a 1 year deal with the Lambs.

Best of luck Paul and looking forward to seeing you back at the Bank on the 31st of March!!!
