Another of last year’s disasters, Patrick Kanyuka is the second ex-Imp to sign for Tamworth

Surprisingly, Patrick Kanyuka has beaten most of last seasons squad out of the unemployment line, following Paul Green in penning a 1 year deal with Birmingham-based Tamworth.

Kanyuka signed for the Imps in January 2011 and made his debut against Bradford in the center of midfield. However he only lasted 45 minutes and was replaced by fellow debutante Ali Fuseini.

The signing of Kanyuka was a strange one for all connected with City, a man with seemingly no basic footballing ability and an obvious lack of awareness and pace was brought in as a solution to the leaky defense that had plagued Lincoln for the previous months before his signing and threatended to take the club into non-league obscurity.

The game which will stick with Imps fans when discussing Patrick Kanyuka in the future will without a doubt be the dreadful 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Rotherham where Kanyuka was sent off at 4-0, having made possibly the worst performance by one player in the history of the club.

Kanyuka will without a doubt be looking to prove himself in a Tamworth side which is now missing their main talisman from last year, Kyle Perry and will be looking forward to returning to Sincil Bank on the 31st of March, to prove to Steve Tilson and the fans, that we lost a real gem.
