Ahead of Saturday’s match against Crawley Town in Sky Bet League Two, we asked our members what three things they think The Imps need to do to pick up all three points.
Here’s what Impalex said:
1. We must ensure that we start somewhat better than we did at Mansfield. Going a goal down early causes stress and worry to Imps fans everywhere, let alone the management team in the technical area. Far better to overrun them early doors, score a quick goal ourselves and then go for the jugular.
2. If Danny Rowe is selected ahead of Matt Rhead the get the ball into Akinde’s feet whenever possible; he isn’t Matt Rhead in the air. On the other hand, if Rhead is selected ahead of Rowe, get the ball early to him either in the air or on the ground.
3. Recently our wingers have been putting some very good balls into the box but too often the ball is missed by those running into the box thus wasting good chances. Those runs need timing to perfection and should be a priority in training.
