Lincoln City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.
The performance by Luke Waterfall in the three one victory over Port Vale at the weekend at Sincil Bank was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.
I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Waterfall was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.
‘At Sincil Bank, Lincoln scored three times and picked up maximum points in their encounter with Port Vale. Turning in a strong defensive showing was Waterfall, who not only shone at the back, but found the net in the 69th minute too.’
It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Waterfall for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
David Forde (Cambridge United), Luke Waterfall (Lincoln City), Liam Cooper (Leeds United), Sean Morrison (Cardiff City), Albert Adomah (Aston Villa), Hiram Boateng (Exeter City), Max Power (Wigan Athletic), Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United), Dominic Samuel (Blackburn Rovers), Matej Vydra (Derby County), Ivan Cavaleiro (Wolverhampton Wanderers).
