Vital Lincoln Members voted for who they believe was The Imps MOTM against Macclesfield Town on Tuesday night and here’s how the voting went:

Farman: 0%
Newton: 0%
Boyce: 15.38%
Brown: 19.23%
Foster: 7.69%
Power: 0%
Gray: 0%
Nolan: 0%
Rowe: 11.54%
Wright: 0%
Tomlinson: 46.15%
Dixon: 0%
Fofana: 0%

And here’s what some of the members said in the thread on the forum:

‘Tomlinson for me. Rowe got a bit frustrated as we struggled a bit 2nd half. Centre halves also did well.’

‘I actually said the my mate I was sat with at the game that Nat Brown was my man of the match before the sponsors announced it. Think he looked quite solid tonight as did the defence as a whole to be fair. Could have easily given it to Tomlinson too, looks like he’s got a bit of class about him, looking forward to seeing more from him!’

‘Thought Tomlinson was decent, but in my opinion it’s Brown all the way, closely followed by Boyce. Top defending!’

‘Nat is good in the air……….as long as it gets to him at that height, from the knee down and I am literally crapping myself every time expecting him to make a huge error. He let the ball bounce twice with the Macc forward snapping at his heals before letting him get goal side, I was convinced he was going to haul him down, he did make a good tackle to retrieve the situation though!

MOM Tomlinson for me.’

‘Gone for Rowe due to his cool finish. Thought it was an ok team performance with no-one miles ahead of another in terms of performance. Perhaps tinker with the tactics e.g. Power to play closer to the striker.’

‘Impressed by Tomlinson tonight, what work rate for a striker. But it has to be Boyce for me as he won virtually every header and tackle and really dug in when we were under the cosh. Looks a better defender this season already.’

‘Rowe for me, his brilliantly composed goal was literally the difference between the sides. It is rare we see such a well taken and created goal by an individual at this level. Without him I doubt we would have scored.’

‘No-one really stood out for me, it was just generally a solid display.

Tomlinson worked hard and I think is Sheridan with a bit more of an attacking threat.

Boyce was ok as were Foster and Nolan.

Opted for Tomlinson, though.’
