“Trust the squad which is being assembled.”

|

Ahead of Saturday’s match at home against Blackpool in League One, we asked our members what three things they think The Imps need to do to pick up all three points.

Here’s what sedgleyimp said:

1. Start the game as we have finished the last four. Since the turn of the year with the exception of Harry’s early goal on Tuesday, our second half displays have been far better than those of the first half. Eight of our nine goals since the turn of the decade have come in the second 45 minutes. Blackpool are on a pretty poor run of form and if we get an early goal against them they might just not have the fight to get back into the match.

2. Trust the squad which is being assembled. There is a re-shaping going on at present which is meaning good players are moving on. There is a strong possibility that one of our very best won’t be with us come Saturday. No matter how disappointed you might be as a supporter, support those who are coming in to replace them. We have a good manager and backroom staff who have already put answers into questions which might not need answering.

3. Keep Gnanduillet quiet. He’s probably their most dangerous player and is being looked at by Championship clubs. He’s quite a big unit and good in the air but if Cian Bolger can find room in his pocket that Daryl Murphy occupied for the whole 90 minutes on Tuesday threats from him can be negated.

Will The Imps win, lose or draw against Blackpool?

Win

Lose
