With Luke Howells having come to the end of his current loan deal on Tuesday night away to Chelteneham he is now officially back with MK Dons.

Having started to impress in recent games and his move to the right side of midfield on Tuesday probably being his best performance in an Imps shirt Steve Tilson has expressed his desire to bring the 24 year old to Sincil Bank until at least the end of the season.

Much will depend on negotiations between City and the MK Dons this morning as they try to negotiate a deal. The ideal solution would be for Howells to agree a severance package with his current club.

Steve Tilson told the Lincolnshire Echo: ‘I want to keep him here until the end of the season and I am hoping that will be done before noon today.’

The deadline for Howells to be available to play against Port Vale tomorrow is noon today and Tilson hinted he is already building for next season when he added: ‘Obviously, I have one eye on next season and he’s certainly somebody I would like to keep here for longer if I can.’

Hopefully there will be good news coming out of Sincil Bank later today and don’t be surprised if other names are mentioned too!
