With Steve Tilson still looking to strengthen the squad ahead of Saturdays clash against Port Vale he has moved to sign former Swindon Town and QPR player Patrick Kanyuka who may not be in the squad as he awaits international clearances.

The Congolese centre back is looking at a permanent deal until the end of the season having been on trial with AFC Wimbledon.

The 23 year old had started his playing career at Leyton Orient where he may well have been spotted by Paul Brush who managed the ‘O’s from 2001-2003.

Kanyuka didn’t play for the Orient but moved across London to Queens Park Rangers and made 22 appearances for the club before released in 2008. A stop at Swindon Town then followed before another move after being released by them when he went to Northampton Town having impressed when on trial.

He has recently plying in trade in Romania with CFR Cluj. Once the paperwork is complete he will join the squad and given the squad number 40.

Meanwhile Tilly is still looking to bring in another centre back if possible and central midfielder to cover for injuries and supsensions as City move into a very busy period of the season.
