Three Things We Learned Against Colchester United

Following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Colchester United in Sky Bet League Two, we asked our members what three things they learned from the defeat.

Here’s what Jamesimp said:

1. We probably brought Shackell back a couple of games early, if Wharton was in better form he could have played central alongside Bostwick and then we could maybe ease Shackell in slower.

2. The last three games have brought us all back down to earth and served us with a reality check. It was always going to be tough Saturday but the previous two games had put extra pressure on us, many of us would have settled for a draw Saturday but the first goal was crucial and maybe nerves were a lot to do with the poor defending which led to it.

3. Our front four have got to get further up the field as a unit and help Akinde out more, we didn’t seem any more of an attacking threat even after Green and Rheady came on.
