He received an average rating of 3.71 following the 1-0 defeat at home against Rotherham United last season. Some of the comments can be found below:

Eweimps: “I thought at one point in the first half we would end up 9vs9 but he got back control. Odd decisions given both ways but generally seemed to favour the away side and I couldn‘t believe with the card inconsistency. Not helped by both linos who only seemed to flag when it was against us and didn’t bother otherwise. Tried to play advantage on occasion but blew too early a couple of times.

4.5/10.”

sedgleyimp: “From iFollow I’ll give a 4/10.

Thought he started quite well. The advantage he played for Rotherham then (rightly in my opinion ) booked Bolger for trying to take one for the team once the attack had stopped was impressive and boded well. He then seemed to lose control over what was happening and the fact that twice he called over Shack to deal with what should have been easy issues showed a lack of confrontational confidence. Not the worst we’ve had this season but far from the best.”

Impish: “3/10 for me, yes we probably deserved one of our yellows, but they were consistently fouling and delaying tactics without the ref doing anything. I am sure he moaned more at the guys being fouled than speaking at all to most of the Rotherham behemoths.”
