“This allowed us to score 5 goals and was highly entertaining.”

Ahead of tomorrow’s match against Peterborough United in League One, we asked our members what three things they think The Imps need to do to pick up all three points.

Here’s what NottyImp said:

1. Be canny. Ipswich set up to attack and gave us ample opportunity and space to do the same. This allowed us to score 5 goals and was highly entertaining. However, Posh may not be quite so kind. We will need to be aware of their style and potentially adapt our approach to it, without getting carried away by the Ipswich result.

2. Keep using the channels. Having an “out ball” for the full-backs to Walker was extremely useful both defensively and to get us up the pitch quickly. It looked as if Walker had been told to run the channels more aggressively than previously, and it worked.

3. Don’t fanny around at the back. Do I really need to explain this one? Bolger is awesome in the air but you really wouldn’t use that word about his on-the-deck ball skills. We were nearly punished twice for this versus Ipswich and arguably one goal did come indirectly from a Bolger error.

Will The Imps win, lose or draw against Peterborough United?

Win

Lose

Draw
