The winners of tomorrow night’s match between Bradford City and Lincoln City in the Second Round of the League Cup will face Premier League side Liverpool at home in the Third Round. Ahead of this match, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members what three things they think The Imps need to do to win.

1. Play a strong squad. This is an unexpectedly important game as the prize is a tie against Liverpool with possible TV money and the cachet of playing the current Premiership Champions. Plus, the first time since (insert date please, Scotimp) we have played them in a competitive fixture.
2. We may be L1 now and Bradford L2, but we should not take this game lightly. They will want the prize just as much as us. They will be up for it and we will need to start strongly and maintain our current momentum.
3. Stick to the plan. It has worked well in the 3 games to date and the more the players get used to the systems MA is putting in place, the better they will get at implementing them on the pitch. I’ll even accept a little bit of messing around at the back, if absolutely necessary!
