Ahead of tonight’s game at home against Carlisle United in Sky Bet League Two, we asked our members what three things they think The Imps need to do to take all three points.
Here’s what NottyImp said:
1. Keep trying to play to Akinde’s strengths. This area of team cohesion/practice is, for me, a work in progress. We know how to use Rhead and Green, but I don’t think we’ve quite got it right with Akinde yet. He seems to be a player that needs that to flourish.
2. Make sure the mid-field is robust. This may mean moving Bostwick up into midfield from the outset. If we run the midfield, Carlisle will drop deeper and allow us chances to punish them with our firepower up front.
3. Keep improving our set-pieces. They have definitely come on in the last couple of games. Keep trying new routines and reviving old favourites. It’s one of those extra % bonuses we can potentially be very good at.
