Funny old game football Saint! Long good week eh Imps! And then there was Schoey going it alone without Deehan?a Dead Man Walking!

So its welcome to the School of Schoey, a place of learning, a truly high school in the City of the highest order, in Gods County no less. Oh yes for Schoey has stuck to his guns, gone with the gut feel and for now is surveying his new realm with a smilie on his face.

No Deehan on the Squad picture, albeit due to a birthday commitment. Oh Stevie E says hello from the South, reckons he knows a man that could have air brushed his picture on. Good on computers, used to be in the money game. Reckoned he was colour blind on account he lost his job when they turned off the light and the tenners were luminous orange. No that`s not the problem, that is but a trinket. Deehan has handed over control of team affairs to Schoey, or Steff has. According to six blades of grass in front of the Stacey West that was always on the cards. Schoey was, and still is learning. However since the win and the arrival of a midfield linchpin, Hand, the press can get a sniff.

Schoey just needed a win, to prove his attacking instincts were right. Donny were always going to outplay us. On top of 4-0 at home it blew up a bit of a storm. Hand came in and lent one, the flow grunted groaned then fired, buoyed by a backbone, Dodds, Dani and Forza Imp Stallardicus. Three for the travelling hordes who made the trip in hope rather than in faith. Of course as soon as a corner was turned without it would appear Deehan`s influence and shoulder to cry on, he probably realised the righting was on the wall. Who needs a Director of Football when Roberto Carlos blows you out and the Fans are screaming for the club to blow 300 grand from Hughes. So as not to be rude because if it was me I`d want the cheque to clear he politely drops a few quotes. And lets face it the local sports media have had less to do than John Prescott this summer.

JD is polite professional talks realistically about losing 6 high earning players. Does he regard himself as a player? Hughes no loss for 300 grand and Dani coming good, Moses, Mayo and Gritton were results. He then pretty much rights off our chances of going up. Bet that pleased the bean counters who only saw 3900 rattle the till on the opening day. Then again he might be puffing out his chest for a couple of reasons. Maybe to let people know he`s available now his job is done or just to make sure they have an option if our bold as brass Yorkshire gunslinger uses all his ammo. If we lose three the board may have that question to ask. For in a beautiful booming City league 2 and even 5,000 is way below our potential.

As we all know there is a huge potential now the surrounding area has reached 250,000 for a footballing side in Lincoln that wins. And any decent manager at this football club has passionate support with a cosy charm. Lets hope Schoey is that man. We want his attacking instincts to succeed.
