Stallardicus: The new Campaign

I really felt this season that we needed a spine. We now have one in Hand. But on those heavy pitches in the heart of winter he will need help. That is when Hand and Kerr (anyone got a chief) can get in their get it down and wide to Dany or Doddies. Win it get it down and play to the gifted individuals in the Imps team. We are a side with great footballers. Look at Amoo, Frecklington, Dodds, Dany, Forrester or Stallard. All they needed to do was get it in a dangerous area. Our defence for that matter needed someone in the middle getting in before someone gets up a head of steam. That is where we lacked last year. We lost to the lowly sides. Remember Boston? No lets not. Our form against the top sides had been respectable, promotion calibre even. The rest of the league posed a problem.


Those two are battlers, pacey two new centre forwards that come in from the wing. For me we are playing 4-2-4 with Freck adding to the charge. Hand has total focus on his job. Win it get it short to Freck or simple easy wide to Dany or Dodds eager to get within shooting range of the goal. Oh yes he and Dany will get some great service from Stallardicus and Forrester touches that will see them nail a few goal of the season screamers.

For me Schoey is one piece from the jigsaw. Has anyone got the Jolly Green Giants number? Because that`s who we need as a central defender.
