Leeds United have extended the contract of Davide Somma today. Although this may not spell the end of the Imps or other perspective suitors interest in him we have certainly seen the last of him at Sincil Bank this season.

The optimists will point to the fact that as Davide is over 24 years of age, such a move will ensure that Leeds get a fee for him should the right offer come in.

One thing is for certain last Saturday was his last bow at the bank according to the Leeds official site who state that Saturdays game will be the last of his loan spell.

Ominously Simon Grayson also stated that a loan spell ahead of a new contract was always on the cards.
