Born in Stockport, Simon was of course a rifleman in the 22nd Cheshire regiment serving in Bosnia and Northern Ireland.
The article is a nice piece with a few stats and a pig pic, however it typifies journalism when it comes to League 2 stories, ergo the content and slant has to fit the headline grabber.
Simon has signed for Droylesden next season and the article suggests he will still go to Iraq as a bodyguard. He had toyed with being a bodyguard in Iraq but he does have other skills now.
