Which Shrewsbury player disastrously decided not to sign for Lincoln at the start of the momentous 2016-17 season and joined relegation-bound Southport instead?

Views from the Match Thread ahead of kick-off:

WellingtonImp: “Difficult one to call. Shrewsbury have, at home, lost to only one of the sides from the top half, despite having one of the worst home records in L1. We owe them for the 0-1 at Sincil Bank, and we’re running at over 2ppg away. Games between us are typically low-scoring in the league recently. Expect a 1-1 draw, but predicting a 2-0 Imps win.”

PWould: “The high motivation factor is all with us. One more win and the play-off finishing line is tantalisingly close. Come on you Imps.”

Chesterimp: “At this stage of the season, the next game is always the most important of the season, each one to be treated as a cup final.

Especially so tonight as with two extra-tough away games to follow, a good committed performance and 3 points will pretty well ensure the last 3 games are about position for best advantage in the play-offs and getting the returning senior players up to fitness. Lose and it all becomes a bit of a scramble. Shrewsbury, now safe and nothing to play for, ended Blackpool’s long run on Saturday so will be playing with freedom – but will they want the intensity?

MA is clearly well aware of that, I think his team selection will keep faith in those who earned 3 good wins and pushed the probable champions close, while giving Grant, Bridcutt, and Hopper some more game time, possibly from the bench.”
