The Imps played their second home friendly of the Summer on Saturday against Middlesbrough U21’s and won the game 2-1. We created a decent number of chances and played some decent passing football at times. A well deserved victory.

The Imps took the lead after some good work from Nick Wright down the left hand side who set up Adi Yussuf to fire home and make it 1-0 to City. At half time The Imps were leading 1-0.

Just after the break Boro grabbed an equalizer. Bradley Fewster with the goal.

With only a few minutes left The Imps were awarded a penalty for hand ball, Ben Tomlinson stepped up and scored. A well taken penalty.

Tomlinson was denied a second goal after a superb save by Connor Ripley and Conner Robinson hit the bar.

We will be publishing the highlights of the game either today or tomorrow. The plan was to publish them yesterday but there was a technical problem!
